Overview | Glucose phosphate mutase is also called glucose phosphate mutase. It is an enzyme that catalyzes the interconversion of glucose 1-phosphate (G-1-P) and glucose 6-phosphate (G-6-P). EC2.7.5.1. It is widely found in the muscle, brain, kidney, yeast and other microorganisms of animals, and has been purified from muscle. Glucose 1, 6-diphosphate (G-1,6-P) was used as coenzyme. The substrate can be phosphorylated by the coenzyme, and the coenzyme becomes the reaction product while the coenzyme is regenerated. This is related to the phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of the hydroxyl cycle of the serine residue in the enzymatic site. It has the same effect on ribose 1-phosphate and mannose 1-phosphate, but the activity is low. This enzyme can be activated by Mg2 , Mn2 Co2 cysteine, and is sensitive to fluoride, Cu2 ,Zn2 Pb2 ,Hg2 Ag2 and other inhibitors. |
effect | glucose phosphate mutase (Phosphoglucomutase) is a group of important enzymes widely existing in human tissues. It can catalyze the mutual conversion of glucose -1-phosphate and glucose -6-phosphate, and plays an important role in sugar metabolism. |
Use method | Re-suspend the freeze-dried powder in 0.25M Glycylglycine buffer with PH7.4. |
